Studying abroad changed my goals and aspirations for life by making me aware of just how much bigger the world really is. By studying abroad, not only did I learn more about Australia, but I learned more about the United States and myself as well. The most interesting course I took while abroad was my Asian Religion & Philosophy class. It was a unique experience to learn about a culture so different from my own and in a class in which the majority of the students were Asian themselves.

Unique Aspect

Australia itself is just an amazing country. The people are so laid back and fun and the country itself is simply breathtaking. The Aboriginal peoples have an incredibly rich history. Furthermore, the weekend trips organized by Gary Hepworth with our program were absolutely incredible and gave me the opportunity to see a lot of Australia that I never would have had the chance to experience.

I truly believe that all students should study abroad at least once, whether it be for a semester or just a winter term. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience and you learn so much, not only about the country you are studying in, but about yourself.
