Program Testimonials
Studying abroad has allowed me another option for my career path. As a strategic communications student, after studying abroad I have become interested in PR or advertising as it relates to travel, tourism, or history.

Program Testimonials
I definitely learned to put value to everything that is important in my life and to take the time to stop and take in the beauty of my surroundings. I also learned that I have to take more of an interest in not just U.S. history but world history as well.

Program Testimonials
I learned that I am capable of studying and living in a place where I may not have a complete grasp of the language. That was something I was the most nervous about before leaving. I also learned how different other cultures can be, even those that we perceive to be similar to our own in the United States. I was able to push myself beyond my comfort limits which gave me the opportunity to experience the history and the culture of Greece in an exciting way and in which I never expected.

Program Testimonials
This was my first time abroad so it was an extremely enlightening experience. It was great to simply see how another culture lives and behaves. It was also fun to be able to learn some of such a unique language.

Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
I would recommend the Greece: Classics in Context study abroad program to anyone. There truly are not words to sum up how much I got out of the program- Not just all of the amazing history and mythology I learned while there, but the life lessons and stories I can bring back to the States with me. I met some of the best people I've ever met that go to Elon while abroad, and the best part is we all get to go back to campus together and continue our new friendships!

Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
Greece is a beautiful and historical place that often gets overlooked by students in study abroad programs. The historical aspects and the modern culture of the country have aspects that can be interesting to anyone, including history majors, communications majors, political science majors, etc. The economic and political conditions in the country are also an interesting aspect to anyone interested in those fields. There are many activities and opportunities available to students all throughout the country and its many islands. The rich history and culture were amazing to experience. I would absolutely recommend that students study abroad here.

Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
I would absolutely recommend this program to another student. Originally I was going to go to Italy (which would've been great as well). However, part of me wanted to go somewhere a little different- somewhere that not everyone goes. Greece often gets a bad rap after their financial crisis. But, coming from the perspective of a traveller to the country, their economic struggles do not at all affect tourists, and the country was not dangerous whatsoever. I would recommend Greece because they have SO much culture and history to offer. Furthermore, the Greeks are friendly, the country is gorgeous, and the food is awesome.

Program Testimonials
The program was absolutely amazing! Greece is a beautiful country and there is so much more to her than just beaches and ancient ruins. Don't focus on what you hear in the news, have the experience for yourself! I learned so much while in Greece and if given the chance, I would definitely go back!!! P.S. our tour guide Smaro was the best!!! Get her if you can.
