The unique aspect was that I got to live with a host family in the city of Paris, I was 1 of 17 students who was able to do that. It was an invaluable part of my abroad experience.

Living abroad can be a very wonderful, stressful, exhausting and enriching experience. I learned more about myself than I ever thought was possible whilst studying abroad -- I connected with myself, and others more emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually while away. Some of it was great, and other times it was awful, but all in the end very rewarding.

French people and Americans are not too different, despite what people think, and I believe that this program really taught me how to find commonalities with people in other Western cultures but also how to see things from their perspective. I could definitely see myself living in Paris because it has a culture that really appreciate as well as the liveliness of any major American city.
