Program Testimonials
My study abroad was not related to my field of study or intended career, but it did show me that I want to continue being a global citizen. It made me a more well-rounded student and person and reinforced the idea of future travel and involvement in international events.

Program Testimonials
I have decided very certainly now that I want to go to Europe and possibly Ireland for Graduate School. Experiencing Irish culture has solidified for me the fact that I think I will fit well into European culture and I want to learn more about it by continuing with postgraduate study abroad.

Unique Aspect
Program Testimonials
It was really cool how we were able to travel around almost the whole country instead of staying in just one area - we saw so many different parts of Ireland; gave me a more broad overview of Ireland (the countryside, the city, the mountains)
— Alison Doherty, Winter 2014
Unique Aspect
Program Testimonials
I think a unique aspect of my program is how much time we spent outside. So much of Irish Culture is dependent of the importance of the Irish land so to be able to spend so much time outdoors was a unique and wonderfully immersive experience.

Program Testimonials
While abroad, I learned to be more adaptable and became more flexible. I changed my normal sleeping and eating schedule, changed the things that I ate, and even the way I talked to people changed while in Ireland. Once home, I recognized how different I was and how it was necessary that some of the things change back to my "American" self. This change taught me to be more adaptable and showed me that I am capable of change.

Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
It is so exciting to be able to experience a new culture at this age. Once you graduate your chances to travel abroad are fewer and it is important to take advantage of the opportunity while you can!
— Catherine Falvey, Winter 2014
Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
Students should study abroad to widen their lens and become a true global citizen. It makes your education more well-rounded and gives you experiences out of your normal education. This program specifically allows you to see conflict in the modern Western world, prehistoric sites, and a different culture, which is nearly everything you could ask for from a study abroad. If asked about this program, I would tell students that there is no way to describe the experience. The things we saw can be seen on the internet, but experiencing them in person is much more powerful. The Irish people were welcoming and excited to have American students. It was definitely a fun and enlightening experience.

Why Study Abroad
Program Testimonials
I think Elon students should study abroad so that they can become more well rounded individuals. It's hard to be well-rounded and cultured if you never leave your own bubble and study abroad helps Elon students break out of that bubble.
— Meagan Schrock, Winter 2015
Why should Elon students participate in Study Abroad or Study USA, and specifically on this program?
Program Testimonials
This program gives you the chance to complete your Literature credit while experiencing what you are reading. You get to see so many different aspects of Irish culture and so many places in Ireland. It is such an old country with so much rich history, and this is the perfect way to experience it because you are travelling around to 6 cities in diverse parts of the country. And the people are awesome.
