Billable Costs
The billable costs for this program include tuition, international health insurance, full-time leadership and support, orientation, and pre-departure advising.

Spending Money
You will need money for food, books, entertainment, local public transportation, toiletries, cosmetics, gifts, school supplies, laundry, linens, and independent travel. Spending money for this program includes travel, gifts, cell phone, entertainment, and miscellaneous.

Housing, Meals and Utilities
Housing costs are based on accommodations in the ACOBHA Residence in a single studio (F1) for ten months and includes the costs for rent, management fees, deposit, furniture rental fees, deposit for furniture, and housing insurance. Housing options via CROUS campus accommodations or other student residences may cost slightly more or less. Meals in all housing options are self-catered, and the meal estimate reflects the cost of grocery shopping and purchasing meals in dining facilities around Reims. The utilities estimate includes the initial amount to open the account and the subsequent monthly charges.

Additional Required Insurance
All students between the ages of 16 and 28 are required by French law to enroll in Sécurité Sociale, the governmental health insurance policy. The International Office at RMS will provide additional details on how to enroll via the International Student Handbook.

Visa-Associated Expenses
Students applying for a visa to study in France must appear in person at the appropriate French consulate.  When budgeting for the semester, students should include the cost of transportation to the consulate.  The estimated visa-associated expenses listed above include the cost of travel to the consulate and fees paid on-site in France to regularize a student's status.

There are various ways to find an accommodation. We advise students to come to Piacenza at the end of July and take the time to visit as many lodgings as possible to find a suitable option. If the students are not planning to come before September, we suggest
booking a temporary accommodation for the first week or two until finding an appropriate solution that corresponds to one’s needs and expectations.

Estimated Housing (non-billable)
Students are responsible for securing their own housing through ICADE's provider. There are a number of options ranging from single apartment to full-board homestay. Estimates in this budget are based on shared apartment.

Visa-Associated Expenses
Students will be required to appear in person at the Spanish consulate with jurisdiction over their home state in order to apply for a visa.  In many cases this will require transportation to and a hotel stay in the appropriate city.  The estimated visa-associated expenses listed above include the cost of travel and accommodations.

Immunizations and Medications
Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website to see the recommended and required immunizations and medications for your program. Talk with your family and your physician to decide which immunizations and medications you will get before you travel.
