The budget sheet information listed above is valid for this Spring 2020 Travel-Embedded program.
A $400 application deposit is due at the time of application. Applicants submit a deposit to indicate their commitment to the program. The deposit is used toward the total billable cost of the program. For more information, visit the Application Deposit FAQ page.
Semester Embedded Study Abroad Program Fee (inc. insurance)
The Spring Travel Embedded Global Program Fee is billed to the student account in December. If you are interested in setting up a payment plan, please contact the Office of the Bursar at 336-278-5300.
The program fee includes:
Daily breakfast and seven additional group meals
Double occupancy lodging
Transportation to all course-related activities in Canada
Entry fees and on-site lectures/guides
Entry/Exit visa and taxes
Round-trip international airfare from RDU (Raleigh Durham airport)
The Semester Embedded Study Abroad Program Fee is subject to change due to currency fluctuation, exchange rates, vendor costs, and/or number of students enrolled.
Estimated costs listed above are not included in what is billed to the student account. These estimates are mid-range amounts, subject to change at any time, and are dependent upon personal preferences.
Estimated Passport Cost
If you do not have a passport that is valid until six months beyond your anticipated return for this program, visit the Department of State website to begin the application or renewal process.

The spending money estimate for this program includes baggage fees, gifts, entertainment, books, and miscellaneous.
