Billable Costs
Summer Study Abroad Program Fee (inc. insurance)
The Summer Study Abroad Program Fee is billed to the student account in May. If you are interested in setting up a payment plan, please contact the Office of the Bursar at 336-278-5300. For more on payment and cancellation deadlines, see the deadlines page.
The program fee includes:- Some meals
- Shared accommodations
- Transportation to all course-related activities
- Admission to all course-related sites, museums, and cultural events
- Entry/Exit visa and taxes
- Round-trip international airfare from the U.S. departure airport
- International health insurance
- Cancellation insurance
Non-billable/Estimated Costs
Estimated costs listed above are not included in what is billed to the student account. These estimates are mid-range amounts, subject to change at any time, and are dependent upon personal preferences.Estimated Passport Cost
If you do not have a passport that is valid until six months beyond your anticipated return for this program, visit the Department of State website to begin the application or renewal process.Estimated Spending Money
