The budget sheet information listed above is valid for Winter Term 2020.
A $400 application deposit is due at the time of application. Applicants submit a deposit to indicate their commitment to the program. The deposit is used toward the total billable cost of the program. For more information, visit the Application Deposit FAQ section on our FAQ page.
Global Engagement Program Fee:
The Winter Term Global Program Fee is billed to the student account in September. If you are interested in setting up a payment plan, please contact the Office of the Bursar at 336-278-5300. For more on payment and cancellation deadlines, see the Winter Term deadlines page.
The program fee includes:
Transportation to all course-related activities
Admission to all course-related sites, museums, and cultural events
Entry/Exit visa and taxes
Round-trip international airfare from the U.S. departure airport
The global engagement program fee is subject to change due to currency fluctuation, exchange rates, vendor costs, and/or number of students enrolled.
Estimated costs listed above are not included in what is billed to the student account. These estimates are mid-range amounts, subject to change at any time, and are dependent upon personal preferences.
Estimated Passport Cost:
If you do not have a passport that is valid until six months beyond your anticipated return for this program, visit the Department of State website to begin the application or renewal process.
Estimated Spending Money:
The spending money estimate for this program includes baggage fees, gifts, entertainment, books, and miscellaneous.
Estimated Immunizations, and Medications, and Medical Exams:
Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website to see the recommended and required immunizations and medications for your program. Talk with your family and your physician to decide which immunizations and medications you will get before you travel. Estimated Domestic Airfare:
Students are responsible for making arrangements to the meet at the U.S. departure airport for the group flight. This may require purchasing a domestic connection. The U.S. departure airport varies by program. More information regarding this program's group flight and departure airport will be shared with students, as well as guidelines for booking domestic connections.
