This program exposes students to Australian physical therapists in privately-owned outpatient clinics. Students will be challenged to learn the profession of physical therapy within the Australian healthcare system. Clinical skills will focus primarily on manual therapy techniques.DPT 804 Advanced Clinical Practice Selective Tracks (9 credits)

Australia is the world's smallest continent with a population of almost 24 million people. The program will include time-spent in the following cities:
Newcastle, New South Wales (eastern Australia):
Newcastle is the second oldest and seventh largest city in Australia. It is located on the coast, 101 miles north of Australia's largest city, Sydney.
Warriewood, New South Wales (eastern Australia):
Warriewood is a coastline suburb located 16 miles north of Sydney.
Newcastle: Public transportation is available via bus and train. Trains are available between Sydney and Newcastle.
Sydney: Public transportation is available via bus, train, and subway
Sydney to Warriewood: Requires a train from Sydney and a bus from the train station to Warriewood

Costs for study away vary program to program and will not be exactly the same as on-campus costs of attendance at Elon.

Under the current University liability insurance policy, students will be covered by University liability insurance when participating in an approved GLO program.
Students are responsible for securing housing. To date, the most common form of housing has been rental. Previous student blogs may be useful resources.
